Labour-market entry

Graduate unemployment is rising: from 3.9% to 6.4% for university master's holders and from 3.4% to 4.9% for applied-sciences bachelor's holders between the 2023 and 2025 surveys. It stays at 0.7% for teacher-training graduates (FSO, 27 August 2026).

Why it is harder

Lack of work experience is the reason most cited by 2024 graduates who struggle to find a job: about two thirds of university master's holders and nearly three quarters of applied-sciences bachelor's holders (FSO).
